Ashleigh Massey

I am an Associate Licensed Professional Counselor (APC) passionate about helping individuals navigate life's challenges, build confidence, and create meaningful, lasting change. I strive to provide a safe, supportive, and judgment-free environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered.

I earned my Bachelor's degree in Psychology with a minor in Criminal Justice from Columbus State University in 2022 and my Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Marshall University in 2025.

My professional experience has primarily been in community mental health, providing both in-person and telehealth services. I specialize in working with children and adolescents ages 6–17 and have over four years of experience working with children on the autism spectrum. My clinical background includes anxiety, depression, PTSD, childhood trauma, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, grief, bullying, emotional regulation, substance use, and behavioral concerns. I also have experience supporting the LGBTQ+ community, families experiencing homelessness, and youth involved in the juvenile justice system.

My therapeutic approach primarily incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Person-Centered Therapy, while integrating other evidence-based techniques to meet each client's unique needs. I focus on developing healthy coping strategies, improving communication, building self-esteem, strengthening emotional regulation, and encouraging positive lifestyle changes.

I believe therapy is not a one-size-fits-all experience. My goal is to meet each client where they are, build a trusting therapeutic relationship, and provide the tools and support needed to navigate challenges and achieve personal growth. Progress looks different for everyone, and every step forward matters.
